Privacy Policy
Effective 8 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Nitin Kumar Yadav ("we") collects when you use TalentScope at talentscope.cloud, why, and the choices you have. It is written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Who is responsible for which data
- Your account: for your name, email, password and billing details, we decide how they are used.
- Candidate data you upload (resumes, profiles, notes, pipeline stages): your organisation decides what to collect and why; we process it only to provide the service to you. You are responsible for having a lawful basis, such as the candidate's consent, to share it with us.
What we collect
- Account data: name, email address, password (stored only as a one-way hash), workspace name, team role.
- Content you add: jobs, candidate profiles, uploaded resume PDFs and the text extracted from them, notes, chat messages with the assistant.
- Billing data: the plan you buy and payment references. Card, UPI and bank details are entered on Razorpay's page and are never stored on our servers.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and request logs, kept for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
- To run your workspace: parse resumes, match candidates to jobs, keep your activity history.
- To bill you and keep records required by Indian tax law.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
- To contact you about your account and important changes. We do not send marketing email without your consent.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your content to train AI models.
Service providers we share data with
- Amazon Web Services: hosting and storage (servers in Australia).
- Anthropic: AI features (resume parsing, match analysis, the assistant). Text you send to these features is processed by Anthropic's API, which does not use API data to train its models by default.
- Razorpay: payment processing.
- Google or Microsoft: only if you choose to sign in with them.
We may also disclose data when Indian law requires it.
Cookies
We use two strictly necessary cookies: one keeps you signed in (it expires after an hour) and one protects your requests against forgery. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account in Settings, it is removed from the live service immediately, together with your workspace if you were its only member; when you ask us by email, we delete it within 30 days. Copies in backups are overwritten over time. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
- See and correct your data at any time in the app.
- Export your workspace's data (workspace owners and admins, in Settings) or a candidate's data.
- Delete your account yourself in Settings, or ask us to delete your account, your workspace, or a candidate's data.
- Withdraw consent you have given, and nominate someone to exercise these rights for you.
- Complain to us, and if not resolved, to the Data Protection Board of India.
Candidates whose data was uploaded by an employer should first contact that employer; we will help them respond.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, each workspace's data is isolated from every other workspace, and access is limited by team roles. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify you and the authorities of a breach as the law requires.
Contact and grievance officer
Email support@talentscope.cloud (Grievance Officer: Nitin Kumar Yadav). We reply within 7 days and resolve complaints within 30 days.
Changes
We will post changes here and update the date above; for significant changes we will also email account owners.
